Alaska 2013, Day 23, Skagway AK

Monday June 24, 2013

Left this morning for Skagway.  Drive down was beautiful, clear, warm. There was no wind on the lakes so they reflected the mountains like a mirror.

We saw some kind of little black and white duck walk 6 or 8 tiny babies across the road in front of us. We got into Pullen Creek RV by 11:30 AM AK time.  Not a great campground but its next to the marina and has 6 large sites in the marina lot that look over the harbor and the mountains.

4 cruise ships in town today; 9000 people.  Tomorrow will be 10500  people off the ships. They will have multiple ships in every day except 6 all summer.  Because of the cruise ships they have opened more stores (they have started to renovate down the side streets) and added more tours (a bike tour down the pass and a rafting tour).

108 miles today.

5363 miles so far.
